In the early 1300s the arabs started using the valley in Soller to farm oranges and other citrus varieties, and it is still the place to find and taste the most fresh and tasteful locally produced oranges on Mallorca. There are several varieties of oranges grown here, with different times of the year to be harvested.
In a mountain village in the area of Soller, Mallorca you can find the ecological citrus farm called Ecovinyassa. Neither me or Kenneth had seen actual oranges on the tree before and we had a great time on this ecological citrus farm up in the mountains.
You can make an appointment on their website https://www.ecovinyassa.com/en/index.php and choose the time of day you want to explore this farm with more than 45 different citrus trees in stunning surroundings.
12 euro per person is absolutely worth the experience.
I would definitely recommend a visit here if you are interested in tasting super fresh oranges, home made lemonade and open sandwiches with tomatoes and peppers and olives, all grown on the farm.
Not to mention the beautiful landscape that offers countless of photo opportunities.
There is also a small shop where you can sample and buy local produce, try the orange liqueur, the sea salt harvested on Mallorca, chutneys , orange blossom honey and almonds.
Looks juicy and you captured it in a superb way ✨
